Toledo Family Photography. The Meents Family. Sidecut Metropark.

Jay and Cassandra were featured on my blog last fall (2017) when we had their first family photo session. Last spring they bid on my session at a fundraiser and won it a second time. Creatures of habit, they chose to visit Sidecut Metropark again for their fall family photos. Why mess with something that turned out so great last time?

Fall leaves were really showing and the whole area was full of golden colors. Unfortunately the day we scheduled happened to be one of the colder days of October. The girls were not excited to take their coats off. Luckily, Jay stepped in to be the hero of the day. He played fun games with the girls to keep them distracted from the cold. He was positive and upbeat and the girls fed off of his energy. Cassandra and Jay make family one of their highest priorities and it shows in their relationships with their daughters.

Let me share a little bit about the Meents family:

How long have you been married? We have been married for 11 years.
What does Jay do? Jay is an optometrist.
What does Cassandra do? “I am a pharmacist, however, I only work a few days a month. So I am primarily a stay at home mom...which I love!”
Names/Ages of your kids? Grace 7, Anna 5, Lydia 3.
How would you describe the personalities of each of your kids?
Grace is a quiet leader and a firstborn. She likes to do things her way... which is the right way.
Anna has a heart of kindness and compassion and likes to do things however you want to do things.
Lydia is always ready to put on a show for others and likes to do things the fun way.
What do you like to do together as a family? We love to play in and around the Maumee river... kayaking, skipping rocks, floating, and catching crawfish and snakes with our friends. We are often found riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, and around a campfire and making s’mores. In the winter, we enjoy playing board games like Cadoo and Q's race to the top. Our living room is often converted into a dance party zone and the basement into a fort and sleepover area.
