Stacey was my first official headshot client as an associate at Rebecca Trumbull Photography. Stacey recently opened her own counseling practice and wanted photos to use on her website to help her clients get to know her better. She chose to use Sidecut Metropark as the location because of her love of the outdoors and to give her photos a natural and welcoming feel.

Helping clients create images that will be used to help represent their company is one of my favorite things to do. It can be hard for people to put their face out there for everyone to see but it is always worth the small amount of discomfort to make it easier for your clients to connect to you and your brand.

Meet Stacey:

Tell us about your personality, home life, and hobbies. I am a Sagittarius woman at heart; easy going, genuine, friendly, loyal, with an overall positive outlook on life. I get excited and energetic about exploring new ideas and adventures, and I am an honest, confident, and unfussy person.
My husband Nick and I were married in September 2020 after 9 years of cultivating a wonderful life together; truly the most beautiful day of our lives, made even more extraordinary having overcome many challenges with planning a wedding during the rolling changes of a pandemic! We continue to grow and learn from each other, nourishing and fostering our relationship daily. We have a beautiful home with an in-ground pool which we love putting to use in the summer season along with gardening. Working on home projects are great bonding activities for us! I also delight in being an aunt to two, beautiful, sassy, and smart young nieces.
In my spare time, I can be found reading crime novels or watching crime documentaries, a HUGE interest and fascination of mine. I enjoy being a plant mom; I own 15+ plants between my home and workspace. Additionally, I love travel, scuba diving in tropical locations, singing, writing music, currently learning to play the piano, and taking walks in the park or around our neighborhood.
What do you do professionally? What education has led you to where you are? Professionally, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Owner of my practice Well Rooted Counseling. For my education, I attended Bowling Green State University for both my undergraduate studies in Psychology and my graduate studies in Mental Health Counseling. To obtain an independent license in the state of Ohio, I was required to complete and pass two board exams along with at least two years of work experience and supervision.
Why do you love what you do? I am passionate about this profession because I enjoy being a listener and source of support for those sharing stories of trauma, life challenges, resiliency, hope. Making a human connection with others while providing a space for individuals to be vulnerable in an otherwise world that can feel chaotic and unsafe at times motivates me to show up for them consistently.
What is something about your profession that people may not know? We are professional secret keepers and therapy is preventative! We often think of therapy for crises only or for when our worlds have exploded. Therapy is one of the best preventative health care measures you can do for your mind and your body before things get too big or out of hand.
Why are professional headshots important to you? Professional head shots show professionalism and help my personality to stand out. I want to make the best, first impression I can for potential clients.
What stood out to you about your experience with Jessica? Jessica presented as very sweet and kind, open to using many different locations and backgrounds. She was conscientious about lighting due to photos being taken outdoors. Jessica was prompt and helpful with her suggestions for posing on camera.
