Welcome to FLUFF-uary! We want to share the amazing pets who have been entered in our photo session giveaway. These 27 animals are obviously all photo worthy, but only one can win. You may cast your vote once per day by filling out the form at the bottom of this post. Voting ends February 17, 2024 at 11:59pm. 1. Typo
Age: 4 years old
Breed: husky, poodle mix
Typo is a failed service dog, whose owners no longer wanted. It was either the pound or us. At the time, we already had two dogs, what’s a third?
This photo describes Typos personalities all in one. Funny. Crazy. Down for a good time. Free willed. Rebellious. Mischievous. Escape artist. Hunter.
He has a personality like no other dog I’ve ever met. He has heterochromia (one blue eye, one brown eye). He talks when he wants something. He howls when he hears something. He absolutely adores his three other dog brothers.
2. Tinsel
This is my foster babe Tinsel from Hard Licker Ranch and Sanctuary! She has been with us for almost a year now. She is around two years old and a Pittie mix!
Before Hard Licker Tinsel was brought in as a stray to LC4. She spent about 6 months there before it started to take a toll on her mentally. LC4 has a training opportunity for volunteers to try and help the dogs get adopted quicker, I was her partner and instantly fell in love. But as time progressed in the shelter environment with no interest in little Tinsel she began to lose hope. After a public plea for the perfect foster family to help her went unanswered my family knew it was time to make sure she gets the happy ending she deserves no matter how long it takes!
Tinsel is such a loving girl who will do just about anything for a treat! She’s still searching for her forever family but until then she loves to spend her evenings snuggled up on the couch watching Grey’s Anatomy!
3. Tucker
My official name is Tucker but I’ll respond to other names like Tuckleberry, Tucky Butt & Sir Tuckerton
I’m almost 6 months old and I’m a medium sized labradoodle
I love my family but my Moms my favorite furrr sure. I like to chew on all the things & I’ve eaten a handful socks in my short few months at my new home. I get yelled at but I’m cute so I don’t listen. I really love to play fetch but when I bring the rope back, I like to trick my family by running away and repeating the process 5 times just for fun! How much energy is too much energy? The limit does not exist. Thanks for being my new furriend!
4. Sloan
Sloan is my very goofy, very cuddly great Dane/Bernese mountain dog mix. She is my husband and I's first baby and is patiently waiting the arrival of her little brother this summer. Sloan is 5, turning 6 this July. This girl makes our lives 1000x better with her silly personality and constant need to be a lap dog. She turns heads every where we go with her and enjoys all the pets of each stranger she gets to meet.
5. Teeter Tot
Age: under 2 (rescue)
Breed: Beagle
Personality: she is friendly to both dogs and humans. She loves cuddles. She is fierce and playful living in a house with 3 huge dogs! She has no choice lol. She loves using her hunting nose.
6. Princeton
This is Princeton! He’s an 11 Month Pit !! He’s the most hyper and loving dog ever . He enjoys jumping and climbing things (tables). He loves taking selfies with me, always ready for a picture ! He ALWAYS has to be touching somebody , he loves cuddling. He hates when people are upset he’ll lick you until you start smiling again . He loves to chew on everything except any toys that are actually for him . He absolutely loves car rides . He likes to be held and given hugs. Princeton has so much personality and energy . He would love to be able to have professional photos done , he’s always picture ready !!
7. Ramen
Ramen is a 1 year old goldendoodle! He especially loves to lick feet and does the cutest hop when it’s time to eat!
8. Pearl Valentina
Hi! I'm Pearl Valentina!
Fluffuary 13th will mark 1 year since I was officially adopted from LC4! I'm a pitty-mix who's RUFF-ly about 3 years old! I love to play fetch and tug, but destroying stuffy toys is my favorite! I love to snuggle on the couch and hog the bed all night long! I'll steal your snacks and your heart!
9. Ollie
Hi! My name is Ollie I’m 11wks old and I’m a red merle corgi! I’m a bit new to the world still but I love chasing my tail and running after my big sister!! I love so hard that I will bite your nose and cheeks and neck and fingers and toes!
10. Moxie
Age: 11 y/o born on “Christmas”
Breed: lab
Personality: she’s the most friendliest snuggle dog you’ll meet, she loves her human food she’ll look at you all day till you give her some she’s a runner for sure, loves hunting, playing tug a war, can’t forget the car and boat rides she’s a fun loving dog, definitely apart of the family!! life wouldn’t be this great without my baby!!
11. Mosa
Name: Mosa (like mimosa with it the mi)
Age: 8, turning 9 in May
Breed: A little bit of everything but mostly pit and lab
Personality: This momma bear is the watch dog and alarm we never knew we needed. She’s our foster failure who tricked us into staying because of her big heart, warm snuggles, and never ending kisses. I call her my little sea-cow because the moment she’s near a pond/body of water, she likes to plop herself down for a soak.
12. Marvin
Meet Marvin! aka Marv, Marvy, Marvo, MarvMan, Mr Marv, rockhead, baby boy. He is a 70# pibble about 6-7 ish years old (a rescue guess). Marvy came into my life thanks to Planned Pethood, Inc. he was a foster that was returned a few times, so I took that as a sign that he was never supposed to leave me and he’s been by my side ever since! He is the snuggliest, smartest, sweetest man. His favorite things are playing tug with his ropes, chewing on bones, training and learning new tricks with his mom, swimming (actually just attacking the waves in the lake), boat rides, chasing squirrels up trees, walks/runs, and napping on his momma while snoring in her ear! I think the best thing about this boy is the loyalty he has to the people he’s closest to. Marv wants to win because he has so much fun at photo shoots with his besties Jess & Rebecca because they give him so many snacks and boost his ego by telling him how handsome he is
13. Mackinaw
This is Mackinaw! he is a GSD and he is 3 years old, he LOVES being outdoors and spending time with his doggy friends, he is very spunky!
14. Kratos
This is Kratos, he’s a bull mastiff and he will be 13 on February 11 He is usually a distinguished gentleman, but he has very much starting to show his age lately, he has been very sassy, rude, barking back often and only listening when he wants to! My mom told me it’s payback from when I was a teenager He loves his family and friends so much and being tucked into his bed with his toys He wants to win so he can have his professional portrait hung up in his bedroom
15. Kiera Jo Perry
My name is Kiera Jo Perry, a black lab, and I am PERFECT!! At least that’s what my pawrents say about me. BUT I found my forever home on October 7th, 2023, after being rescued by the best rescue ever Planned Pethood, Inc.!! They rescued me and my sister after reports of us in a field came to them, it is thought to be that we were backyard bred and then dumped after having the puppies and then them being old enough to not need the milk. When my pawrents saw me on the PPI website, my mom talked my dad into submitting an application, and after that, the rest is history and they officially adopted me 3 days later!! My favorite things are; naps, daily morning walkies at my favorite metropark, thrashing my toys around, playing ball and sniffing out every critter to exist (my pawrents say I was a hunting dog in my past life). I love all of my four legged besties that I get to play and run with and I love their humans that pet me too!! This picture is featured on our Christmas card in 2023, and was taken by Rebecca Trumbull Photography. Alright that’s all for me right now, I’m going back to my nap (naps are my personality trait because I am the chillest pup according to everyone).
16. Junior Lopez
Junior Lopez is a 14yo Boston Terrier.
Personality: He's very sweet and laid back. He's also the boss. He can barely see or hear, but he can smell a treat a mile away.
17. Kai
Meet Kai! He is a 3 month old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller for short!). Kai is a big ball of energy and loves picking up anything he can get his mouth on - slippers, ice cubes, sticks, toys, and more. But when he sleeps, he is the cutest and snooziest little boy. His little tail is always wiggling on walks and he loves everyone he meets!
18. Juneau
Age: 10
Breed: Wheaten Terrier
Personality: I chose this photo because it shows her personality. Juneau is most of all devoted. She always knows where I am. The second thing to know about Juneau is that she is always happy. Her body just exudes happiness that is contagious. Her eyes sparkle, she smiles, and her little nub tail is always on the move when you are talking to her. She loves meeting people (she may give you the “wheaten greeting”), car rides, and chin rubs the best.
19. Harper
Harper is 4 years old.
Dachshund. She is a bakery dog at the Three Dog Bakery Perrysburg & Toledo. Harper is our rescue, all dachshund she is stubborn with a playful streak, but will lick your face off!! I chose Harper because it is her birthday this month!
20. Gracie
This is Gracie! She’s my 5 month old sour patch kid. She loves to play fetch, herd the cats around the house, and press the “treat button.” She also loves to give me sass, find plastic hangers to chew on, and to steal all the cat’s toys.
Gracie is a quick learner and knows how to sit, stay, “spin,” lay down, and shake. We are working on her social skills and manners.
She is so silly and loves to make me laugh. She even added a little hop to the “spin” command. If I’m walking around the house, she is right there… in between my feet or pressing against my leg.
I have been going through a rough patch lately and it’s been really nice to have Gracie by my side. I’m not sure what I’d do without this little stinker
21. Flap
This is Flap. She’s a 3 year old terrier mix who loves everyone. She also loves all modes of transportation-car, plane, wheelbarrow, paddle boat, 4-wheeler. She is one happy pup!
21. Eugene
Age: 6
Breed: Pekingese
Personality: He is smart, calm, and stubborn. Eugene is like a koala because he likes to sleep a lot. He does enjoy ~short~ walks.
23. China
This is my sweet girl China!! She is a 2 year old pit mix! I love her so much she is the sweetest girl ever! She does not play with toys or acts anything like a dog but instead constantly acts like a human. China does have a little sassiness to her personality and can be a little stubborn at times! But when China is around there is never a dull moment! She’s loves to dress up and get her nails done! She also loves pictures and will post for them! She’s just the sweetest girl (Ik I said that but she really is). China would love the opportunity to get some professional photos done!! She’s already practicing her poses!
24. Charles
This is Charles! He’s a 13+ year old Yorkshire (meat) pig who was found shot in face SIX TIMES! Lucky for Charles, the universe wasn’t ready to lose him, just some of his eyesight. This hunk lives at The Good Shepherd Animal Sanctuary where he is obsessed with fresh veggies, getting petted, and being free to live his life with his friends. It would be amazing to honor Charles with “senior pictures,” as he’s the oldest Yorkshire our vet has every seen!
25. Cardi
Meet Cardi! She is a little over a year and a half old Cardigan/Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix.
She’s always a happy gal and is excited to see and meet everyone. She could play for hours, and enjoys squeaking her toys around the house. Cardi has so much fun going on adventures during vacations with us and her brother, Chance.
26. Applesauce
This is K9 Applesauce! She is a certified human remains detection dog working for Springfield Twp Fire Department. She turns 2 in May and has been training for this job since she was 12 weeks old, on her off days she enjoys chasing anything resembling a call and counter surfing.
27. Blusón
This is Blusón aka Bluey, He is a 1 year old Toy Aussie. Bluey is a shy dog but he’s very energetic and full of personality!! When Blueys not running around the house with his favorite Toy Mr.Strawberry he loves to cuddle and watch tv.
