Rio was adopted as a puppy from Planned Pethood Inc. here in Toledo. Now almost 10, she has become an irreplaceable part of her mom’s life. Quinn adores her “princess” Rio and spoils her in every way. Still appreciative of Planned Pethood’s work even today, Quinn entered their raffle fundraiser for a pet photography session I had donated. Rio got her opportunity to model for me downtown at the Toledo Metropark, Middlegrounds.

About Rio and Quinn:

Where did you get her? Planned Pethood of Toledo.
How old was she when you brought her home? Around 4 months old.
How did you choose her name? I named her after the Duran Duran song “Rio”.
How old is she now? She’ll be 10 years old in November.
What 3 words would you use to describe her personality? Lazy. Crazy. Stubborn.
What is her favorite toy? She really doesn’t have a favorite. I change up her toys every few weeks and she randomly has ones she plays with.
What do you enjoy doing together? Laying on the couch. Napping.
A favorite memory of her or a hard time that she helped you get through? I’ve had a lot of issues the past few years. Emotionally. I was unemployed. And she was always here to comfort me.
Why is it meaningful to have professional images of her? She is getting on in years and she was the first pet I ever had on my own. I want to make sure she’s remembered.
What stood out to you about your experience with Rebecca? How much she truly enjoyed her job and her love of animals. Rio was a challenging model and her pictures turned out beautiful.
