Party of Five. Toledo Family Portraits. Secor Metropark.

This is my second year doing family portraits for this cute bunch. Nathan is my brother-in-law. When he brought Sydney and her two children into the family, they began to fill our family gatherings with laughter and excitement. For several years, we had only young adults around. It is such a refreshing change to have the joy and shenanigans that kids bring. Logan, Nathan’s son, has also been a wonderful blessing. It is so beautiful to see these five interact together.

Being a blended family can involve occasional complications. Nathan and Sydney clearly love their kids and each other and they overcome any obstacles put in their way. They work hard toward their goals together. They make family time a priority by attending holiday events with parents and siblings and by exploring Toledo together. We are so happy to have them around!

How long have you two been dating? Nathan and I have been dating for nearly two years now. We will celebrate our two years together in February.
What do does Nathan do? Nathan is the Chef de Cuisine at Element 112 and Next Door 112, working alongside Chef Chris Nixon. He uses his culinary expertise to create exquisite menu items and experiences for guests at the restaurant.
What does Sydney do? I work as a Patient Service Coordinator with Promedica's Pulmonary and Sleep doctors in Toledo and surrounding areas. I am currently in school pursuing a sonography degree.
Names/ages of your kids? Our children range from 6 to 1 years of age. Emily is the oldest. Ashton is three and Logan is almost one and a half.
How would you describe the personalities of each of your kids? Emily is a very strong-willed, outgoing, and intelligent young lady. Ashton is a sweet boy, a mommas boy for sure. Very active and fun. Logan is very playful and at this time we are enjoying learning about him and his personality traits as they come to light.
What do you love to do together as a family? When we are all together we enjoying going to the park, exploring, and playing together. The kids love to be outside and love to be together. Our favorite activity is to explore the Metroparks and all of the new activities and experiences they are providing for the community.
